A project that looks at the coexistence of the Welsh language and the English language in Wales

This project is a study into the suppression and decline of the Welsh language in Wales and was explored through letterpress printing. It is centred around a Workmen’s Act Poster found at the Dinorwic Quarry workshops (Gilfach Ddu) in North Wales. It was the only sign that I found at the Quarry Museum that was not translated into Welsh. I then translated it and tried to show how efficient an English letterpress job case would be for setting type in Welsh
